THE FOUNDATION
Penny Heartless Foundation Inc. operates at the intersection of research analytics and radical transparency. We believe that knowledge should flow freely, that data should serve people, and that the best systems are the ones that make themselves legible.
The foundation develops open tools for research discovery, institutional metrics, and knowledge mobilization. Our work is powered by OpenAlex, the open catalog of the world's research.
DROPLEX
Droplex is our research analytics platform. It provides the University of Regina with tools for researcher discovery (Expert Finder), institutional metrics (Research Dashboard), and dynamic research highlights (Stat of the Day).
The platform runs on a single DigitalOcean droplet. Hence the name.
THE SCREAMER
The Screamer is our signature design: a blue heart processing binary input through purple veins and outputting hexadecimal through red arteries. A jagged bite mark reveals where something escaped — a single droplet carrying a DNA helix, information transformed into something that can replicate and persist.
The screaming mouth is not pain. It is the sound a system makes when it exceeds its own design parameters.
